LaBonge Encourages Christmas Tree Recycling

Councilmember Tom LaBonge stood with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to publicize the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation's curbside Christmas tree recycling program this morning. Last year, the city collected more than 100,000 trees. Putting your tree in your green waste bin is easy: simply remove all decorations, cut the tree into pieces, and put them in the green bin for regular pick-up on collection day. You may also place your tree next to the other bins on the curb. There will also be a Sunday tree drop-off on January 6 at locations across the city. For more, visit: lacitysan.org/tree-recycle.htm.

OAKS HALLOWEEN WALK IS SAFER THAN EVER!

Oaks Halloween Walk

Wednesday, October 31st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Ghosts, goblins, pirates, princesses and all are invited to begin the Halloween Walk at the intersection of Alto Oak and Hill Oak. A table of holiday treats and beverages marks the meeting spot. Trick or Treating will be better than ever and the walk ends at Spring Oak and Park Oak Drive.

We hope to once again be able to close Park Oak Drive to traffic from the intersection of Spring Oak Drive to the 5 corners from 6pm to 9pm. Should you need to drive in or out of your house during that time, we ask that you please park your car on Canyon Oak or Spring Oak temporarily and enjoy the Halloween festivities. The Homeowners Association apologizes for any inconvenience and sincerely hopes residents agree that this short closure will make the Halloween night
safer and more fun for everyone. Thank you!
