Be aware that the Animal Services Department of the City is unable to care for injured wild animals for more than one day.

Since 1998, the City of Los Angeles has prohibited the use of gas-powered leaf blowers in residential neighborhoods. We urge Oaks homeowners to speak with their gardeners about switching to electric blowers or rakes. Gas blowers not only pollute our air but blow particulate matter into the air we breathe, exacerbating asthma and other respiratory problems. Below are English and Spanish versions of the City's public notice on gas blowers.
If your neighbors or their gardener are still using one of these illegal leafblowers, you may want to talk to them and hand them a copy of the fliers posted below.
