There always seems to be remodeling and construction going on in the Oaks. While it’s nice to see folks fixing up their homes, the sheer number of construction projects on certain streets can be overwhelming for neighbors from time to time.  As board members, we often hear stories about how jobsites are impacting the surrounding homes. Occasionally, we hear considerate stories such as a worker handing out bunt cakes as he helped direct traffic from a closed street or a new neighbor sharing various ways to contact her or her contractor prior to the start of construction. Unfortunately, we also hear stories that make living nearby unbearable and sometimes dangerous.

 

Although we are limited in terms of regulations and enforcement, we have compiled a list of recommendations for the homeowner, neighbor, and contractor.  Take a look and share them with your neighbors and contractors.
